These are Japanese Original Bloodline Shikoku-Ken Puppies WITH ORIGINAL JAPANESE PEDIGREE.

The reason we sell internationally is to support the longevity and continued existence of the original Japanese breed. Price is more of what we sell to Japanese citizen within Japan due to this dog breeds National Monument and National Treasure status. It is usually frowned upon to sell outside of Japan, but again we state, due to rarity and endangered status we sell internationally now to fight potential future extinction of this amazing canine.

Prices are non-negotiable! The price for a Shikoku puppy is high for several reasons.
1. It is one of the most pure bred dogs and one of the rarest.
2. The Japanese born Shikoku-Ken is both a National Treasure and a Natural Monument in Japan. They are the most highly prized, even more highly prized then the breeders of the AKC Shikoku in America.
3. The price ensures only serious buyers make inquiries with a serious intent to own (and keep!) this very special breed.
4. It is a privilege to own a Japanese Shikoku-Ken and future owners will be screened via a questionnaire and video teleconference prior to contract finalization.
5. Because of its rarity, beauty, and calm tempered nature Shikoku puppies are highly sought after. In almost every case, if advertised, Puppies are sold before they are even born.
6. You become a part of a very small and distinguished group of dog owners.
7. less than 300 puppies recognized as Japanese standard were born in 2020. The number of puppies born this year will be less.
8. The original Shikoku breed by Japanese Preservation Society standard is in danger of extinction in Japan
9. Puppies ship from Japan to Major countries minus those with Covid Restrictions. At the moment (August 2021) United States, Canada, Australia, and most European Countries can accept puppy shipments from Japan.
